Job Description

The Procurement Specialist, Logistics is a key role within the Australia / New Zealand Procurement team, responsible for the strategic sourcing of approximately $100 million in Logistics/3PL and co-packing spend for ANZ. This position requires strong stakeholder relationships with Regional Logistics leaders, ANZ business, and Supply Chain Leadership to translate business requirements into procurement strategy and best total value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support ANZ category management strategy, aligned with regional/global strategy plans
  • Own the country category management strategy, development, and execution for DCs, transport, in-land and sea freight, and related activities
  • Provide local and regional market insights on the supply base, market/emerging trends, and intelligence to drive incremental value opportunities
  • Develop ANZ Logistics category sourcing strategy to align and balance country requirements with regional and global strategy
  • Collaborate with the broader procurement network between local, regional, and global teams to develop and roll-out procurement initiatives, including sharing and reapplying best practices
  • Support the Annual Procurement Planning Process
  • Lead or support strategy execution via RFP or supplier negotiation in country and region as required
  • Responsible for operational issues escalation and approval of purchase requisitions (PR)
  • Conduct sourcing activities such as RFPs, negotiations, to completion of award
  • Lead supplier consolidation to streamline the vendor base in line with logistics strategy
  • Own the contract process, including review, approval, and proper sign-off
  • Sourcing for alternatives to support innovation, cost initiatives, and risk mitigation
  • Implement and deliver Procurement targets for the assigned category (e.g., cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital, and TCO)
  • Balance Cost and Quality factors in all supplier engagement, and leverage regional and global category expertise
  • Establish solid KPIs to track supplier performance in conjunction with stakeholders
  • Lead supplier selection process with best-in-class tools and framework
  • Adopt KC-approved Master Agreement for all supplier engagements
  • Implementation of global and local procurement principles and the application of standardized procurement processes and systems
  • Develop supplier evaluation and audit framework in collaboration with regional and global category teams
  • Lead supplier development activities, set up cross-functional reviews to improve performance and drive value creation
  • Proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Lead Supplier Evaluation for key suppliers
  • Identify external forums and resources for logistics teams to increase market knowledge
  • Continuously evaluate the supply market to ensure the latest information is available. Perform market analysis in close cooperation with other departments
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Logistics Procurement experience in FMCG industry and/or 3PL environment
  • Advanced negotiation and sourcing strategy development skills
  • Good project management and communication skills in English
  • Good understanding of financial metrics (i.e., Working Capital, Cost Avoidance, NSV, DPO, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, PPT, and WORD)
