Job Title: Senior RF Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Engineer to join our Sensing Hardware team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom microwave/RF electronics and antenna systems for quantum sensor prototypes and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop custom RF & microwave electronics for quantum sensor prototypes and eventual productisation.
  • Design miniaturised RF electronics subsystems based on demonstrated bench-top prototypes.
  • Model and simulate microwave/RF signal transmission to optimise system performance.
  • Design, optimise, and fabricate custom antennas for near-field operation.
  • Ensure electronics systems are ruggedised for operation in the field.
  • Manage the delivery of complex hardware prototypes, taking responsibility for technical quality, performance, and reliability of the hardware.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Physics, Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated track-record of developing circuit boards operating at RF/microwave frequencies.
  • R&D experience working concurrently with scientists and engineers.
  • Relevant CAD software/design experience.
  • Experience modelling microwave transmission using CST studio or similar.
  • Experience taking designs from prototype to production, including design for manufacture and product certification for global markets.
