Technical Support Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in RF/Electronics and mechanical aptitude to contribute to the success of our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients, including configuring and wiring rack-mounted equipment, testing and installing RF base stations, and commissioning radio kits in vehicles and vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-house pre-installation configuration and wiring of rack-mounted equipment
  • Testing, installation, and commissioning of RF base stations using digital equipment
  • Installation and commissioning of radio kits in vehicles and vessels
  • Installation and commissioning of base stations, including antennas and conditioning gear
  • Programming radios, repeaters, and other ancillary equipment
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of IP networks/links as part of RF system maintenance
  • Participation in the 24/7 on-call availability roster for remote and on-site response and support
  • Travel interstate as required to carry out installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities
  • Data entry for repair equipment into the repair portal
  • Completion of Installation, Maintenance, and Repair reports
  • Assistance with coordination of activities

Previous experience in RF installation work is desirable. Working at heights, mechanical or electronics manufacturing experience would be a significant advantage but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.

Australian citizenship is an essential prerequisite as AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance is required for the position.
