Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced leader to drive our data engineering team at Pathway Search.

This role is crucial in building a robust data infrastructure and ensuring our data supports business objectives across the organization.

You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic data roadmap, overseeing the design of our data team, and leveraging AWS Redshift to enhance data processing capabilities.

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of data engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Strategy & Roadmap: Define a clear data strategy aligned with business goals, driving initiatives to enhance data capabilities.
  • Data Architecture & AWS Redshift: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure, focusing on AWS Redshift to support efficient data storage and processing.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a small team of data engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Data Governance & Security: Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, and other departments to understand data needs and ensure infrastructure meets business requirements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering and data strategy.
  • Deep expertise in AWS Redshift, data warehousing, and scalable architecture design.
  • A proven track record of developing data roadmaps and implementing technical solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a small team of data engineers.
  • Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SQL, Azure, AWS) and database technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

About the Role

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
