This department is a central government agency responsible for delivering national programs and services across a broad range of operational, security, and corporate functions.
It manages significant assets, programs, and procurement activity while ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and risk management standards.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, timely, and practical procurement advice and services to ensure procurement activity complies with frameworks, minimizes risk, and delivers value for money.
- Advise business areas on procurement processes, documentation, and compliance with the CPRs and PGPA Act/Rules.
- Review procurement documentation including spending proposals, procurement plans, approaches to market, delegate approvals, contracts, work orders, and risk assessments.
- Support procurement planning and the development of Statements of Requirement.
- Contribute to procurement strategies, systems, and reporting to strengthen Branch performance.
- Maintain and promote strong stakeholder relationships across the organization.
- Provide advice on contract management activities.
- Prior APS6-level experience in procurement or contract management in a Federal Government environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the CPRs and procurement frameworks.
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice to stakeholders.
- A balance of professionalism and adaptability, with the ability to work with dynamic personalities and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Salary: $95k - $108k + 15.4% Super.
- Section 26 transfer (permanent) preferred or non-ongoing 12 months with possible 6-month extension.
