Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

Overview

This strategic role supports the development and review of procurement solutions for bids, proposals, and contracts in line with company policies and compliance requirements.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with leadership, functional team members, and external partners to deliver high-quality procurement input into bids, tenders, and investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the development and review of procurement solutions for bids, proposals, and contracts.
  • Assisting with subcontractor engagement, quotations, and documentation.
  • Liaising with Category Managers to align with category plans and incorporate supplier and market insights.
  • Contributing to the implementation of standardised procurement processes, templates, and governance.
  • Maintaining awareness of compliance, restrictions, and accreditations relevant to Defence and national security.
  • Working with Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, and Trade Control teams to ensure coordinated procurement practices.
  • Providing guidance to project and business development teams on procurement requirements.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles, ideally within Defence, Aerospace, or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to bid or project procurement activities.
  • Experience engaging with suppliers, preparing requests for quotation, and reviewing supplier proposals.
  • Familiarity with procurement governance frameworks, compliance obligations, and risk management processes.
