The Role

An Executive Level 1 Industry Policy and Program Manager will be responsible for providing expert policy advice to a critical department within the Defence organisation.

This senior role involves exercising sound judgement to develop, implement, and review policies and procedures relevant to their work.

Complex problem solving and issues management are essential skills for this position, requiring the successful candidate to plan, lead, and manage human and physical resources to achieve organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing work plans, setting performance indicators, and reviewing individual, team, and business performance
  • Managing one or more teams, focusing on building team capability and continuous improvement
  • Actively managing key stakeholder relationships and identifying stakeholders' expectations and concerns
