Zip is a leading digital financial services company, offering innovative products that connect customers and merchants. We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Sydney.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership role within our Financial Control function, responsible for statutory reporting for the Group. You will be the key driver of process and system improvements, ensuring timely and accurate results for stakeholders. Reporting into our Group Financial Controller, you will partner with ANZ and USA Financial Control, FP&A teams, Tax, Treasury, and other teams to ensure the integrity of our financial systems.

  • Manage and perform the Group month end close process.
  • E nsure integrity and control of the Group Consolidation and General Ledger.
  • S upport reporting processes and deliver timely and accurate information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the group audit and half year review process of the Group and local statutory audits, including preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Manage and support debt compliance in the Group, where applicable.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on finance system and process improvement projects, providing ad-hoc support and analysis as required. You will also be responsible for monitoring and developing your team, ensuring the development of technical and soft skills.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Experience working in financial control.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including asynchronous working with stakeholders from remote/international teams.
  • Attention to detail.
