About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Manager to join our Global Operational Risk team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Macquarie Capital Business across the APAC and ANZ regions.

As an Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for providing independent operational risk oversight and insights for the business across our ANZ and APAC regions. You will also support the approval of principal transactions and material change initiatives, while driving a strong risk management culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise Macquarie Capital's regional business and risk teams on first-line implementation of central policy and framework.
  • Provide independent operational risk oversight and insights for the business across our ANZ and APAC regions.
  • Support the approval of principal transactions and material change initiatives.
  • Drive a strong risk management culture.
  • Partner with and support Macquarie Capital and Line 1 Risk teams by ensuring processes are adequately assessed, potential risk causes are identified, and controls are effective designed and operated to mitigate a failure in people, processes, or systems.
