We are seeking a visionary Learning Diversity Leader to join our team at a Catholic College in northern Melbourne. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive environment for students from Prep to Year 3.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise and passion for learning diversity to drive positive change. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead innovative programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Create and implement engaging diversity programs for students in Prep to Year 3, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to design and deliver inclusive practices that foster academic excellence and social growth.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, promoting open communication and mutual respect.
- Professional Growth: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and policies affecting students with diverse needs, ensuring our institution remains at the forefront of best practices.
Your Qualifications:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Master's of Teaching or Bachelor of Education.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility to gain.
- In-depth knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) processes.
- A postgraduate qualification in learning diversity is highly desirable but not essential.
- Working rights for Australia, including a skilled migrant visa.
