Job Title: Strategic Procurement Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ICT-related procurements in accordance with government frameworks, conducting procurement activities using best practices and sound judgment, and identifying, managing, and mitigating procurement risks to meet organisational obligations and optimise business outcomes.

About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will provide high-level advice on procurement-related matters across the Information Services Division, working flexibly and applying critical thinking within a team experiencing change. To be successful in this role, you should have demonstrated experience in Government procurement, sound knowledge and application of procurement frameworks including PGPA Act and CPR, ability to manage end-to-end ICT procurement processes including software renewals and ICT labour hire, strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and effective record management and shared mailbox handling.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in Government procurement
  • Sound knowledge and application of procurement frameworks including PGPA Act and CPR
  • Ability to manage end-to-end ICT procurement processes including software renewals and ICT labour hire
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Effective record management and shared mailbox handling
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting (PSP40616)
  • Understanding of the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) guidelines and sourcing through DTA portals
