We're seeking a skilled and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Trainee Systems Maintainer.

About the Role

In this hands-on position, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of mechanical signalling equipment. Based within a skilled, multidisciplinary signalling team, you'll support a broad region stretching from Townsville to St Lawrence, and as far north as Cairns and Kuranda.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical signalling equipment
  • Assisting with maintenance and repair of standby generator plants
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with WH&S standards
  • Accurately completing administrative and record-keeping tasks
  • Contributing to the improvement of existing work procedures and practices
  • Reporting on completed tasks against scheduled maintenance plans
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A current manual driver's licence
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
  • Flexibility to travel across regional Queensland as needed
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
