Track Maintenance Lead Position

Our organization is seeking an experienced and skilled Track Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team in delivering safe, cost-effective, and timely track maintenance.

As a Track Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for effectively managing the allocation and deployment of resources, including personnel, vehicles, equipment, and inventory, to meet defined work programs.

  • Ensure road patrols and other track monitoring activities are conducted as required.
  • Manage workgroup resources and activities efficiently to meet work program objectives.
  • Conduct audits of completed work, coordinate emergency responses, and implement, adjust, remove, review, and report on speed restrictions as required.
  • Oversee training, development, performance management, succession planning, and the Civil Infrastructure Competency System for direct reports.
  • Promote safe work practices by implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have Cat 3 driver and road patrol qualifications.
  • Must have track protection qualifications.
  • Substantial knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and inspection standards, systems, processes, and associated costs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, people management, industrial relations, and negotiation skills.
  • Sound level of skill in the management of assets allocated to the position, including inventory, plant, equipment, motor vehicles, and building assets.
