Job Title: Financial Performance Specialist

The Financial Performance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial processes. This encompasses daily reconciliations, journal preparation, and investigation of variances between General Ledger and supporting reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reconciliation and settlement activities to guarantee timely and quality deliverables.
  • Prepare journals as required for financial services projects.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies between General Ledger and supporting reports.
  • Manage reconciliation issues until resolved and streamline solutions.
  • Ensure data transfers between systems interfaces and third-party agents are accurate and meet documented controls.
  • Manage chargebacks, banking file analysis, third-party vendor reporting, patron refunds, and operator queries as assigned.
  • Provide variance analysis and aging information for assigned account balances.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end reporting for assigned General Ledger accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of Product Channel Reconciliations.
  • Identify system process improvements and champion automation of reports where relevant.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multifaceted team.
  • High-level communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to thoroughly investigate and analyze information.
  • Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Able to concentrate, focus, and perform complex analyses.
  • High-level computer skills including accounting software.
  • Excellent teamwork and time management skills to meet required deadlines and key performance indicators.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
Qualifications:
  • Accounting degree qualified.
  • CA/CPA qualified or studying towards is desirable.
  • Power BI knowledge is desirable.
  • Highly adept analytical and numerical skills required.
  • High level of investigatory skills.
  • Ability to develop and design customized reporting requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years accounting and reconciliation experience.
  • Competent with personal computer and familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience desirable.
