About the Role

The Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager and Founder/CEO in making informed decisions. This involves providing timely and accurate financial information, ensuring the smooth operation of office and financial functions, and overseeing various aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular financial reports to the General Manager to ensure reliable information and analysis.
  • Conduct business performance analysis and cash flow reporting.
  • Manage payroll, accounts receivable, and payable.
  • Oversee the company's finance function, ensuring compliance with external accounting requirements.
  • Prepare budgets and KPIs, and provide full-year forecasts on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the daily accounting function and systems.
  • Manage month-end close and reconciliation process.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage the overall cash and working capital position.
  • Accurately prepare annual financial statements and tax returns for external accountants.
  • Monitor and coordinate insurance to ensure relevant coverage.
  • Manage leases and facilities maintenance requirements.
  • Oversee office and basic HR support requirements, including contracts, employment documentation, onboarding, and Performance Development Review processes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Highly proficient with systems and reporting.
  • Competent and confident with payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to develop meaningful management reports.
  • Able to work to deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player prepared to help out in any area.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and multitask.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Service-focused and proven experience in improving and streamlining services.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management capability.
  • Positive leader with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
