About the Role:

Do you have a passion for working with people and the ability to build strong and trusted relationships? Are you motivated by providing sound and practical guidance and advice to leaders and employees?

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our new dynamic HR Advisory Team.

In this role, you will be a key player in supporting our People Strategy. You will coach and provide quality advice and support to leaders and employees, becoming the first line of contact between them and the broader People Services Teams. You will respond to general and operational HR enquiries or take on assigned work, ensuring everyone feels supported and empowered.

This is your chance to dive into a generalist role where no two days are the same. You'll build relationships with stakeholders from all corners of the business, and you will always be challenged and engaged. From advising on employment issues and supporting change initiatives to interpreting employment legislation and preparing insightful HR strategy reports and drafting policies and procedures, you'll be at the heart of making our organization a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret employment legislation, regulations, Awards and Industrial Agreements together with policy and procedures to provide high quality and pragmatic HR advice.
  • Support both disciplinary processes and the management of employee matters.
  • Develop trusted business relationships at all levels to gain support and influence outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
  • Post-secondary qualification in Human Resources.
  • Experience in HR advisory, specifically in supporting both disciplinary processes and the management of employee matters.
