Program Manager for a Homelike Environment

The Pathfinders OoHC Program aims to provide a homelike environment for residents, foster positive coping strategies and maintain links between the residents and their birth families and community. The program seeks to meet high standards for health, education, vocation and social competencies amongst all residents.

Role of the Program Manager

The Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the ICM house. This includes developing daily routines to meet outcomes for young people residing in the home. They will serve as the main point of contact for external and internal service providers and assist with providing information to all parties.

The Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-maintained house and develop tasks lists for support staff to complete while on shift. Regular reporting is required to external service providers and attendance at weekly meetings with the Department of Communities and Justice Interim Care Referral Unit.

This position requires a Full Time Program Manager to be based in Port Macquarie.

The role is classified as Level 5 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Modern Award.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with external and internal service providers
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained house
  • Develop tasks lists for support staff
  • Conduct regular reporting to external service providers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of child and youth care principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
