Position Overview:
The Civil QA Engineer plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and compliance of civil engineering operations within our transmission and renewable energy initiatives. This position emphasizes quality assurance, collaborating with project teams to establish and uphold QA/QC protocols, ensuring that all construction endeavors align with industry benchmarks and project requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute QA/QC strategies for civil engineering components of transmission and renewable energy projects.
- Perform site evaluations and audits to verify adherence to project specifications, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
- Assess and authorize construction materials, methodologies, and workmanship to guarantee compliance with quality expectations.
- Engage with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related challenges and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Compile comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, testing outcomes, and non-conformance documentation.
- Track and report on the status of QA/QC initiatives, ensuring that quality targets are achieved within project timelines.
- Contribute to project discussions and provide expert advice on quality assurance matters.
- Enhance QA/QC methodologies by integrating industry best practices and insights gained from past projects.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within civil engineering, ideally in transmission or renewable energy sectors.
- In-depth understanding of Australian construction standards, regulations, and codes.
- Proven experience with QA/QC methodologies, inspection protocols, and quality management frameworks.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with QA/QC software and tools.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as necessary.
