Head of Technology Assurance and Innovation

This is a leadership role that combines technology assurance and innovation. As the Head of Technology Assurance and Innovation, you will lead a dynamic team focused on driving innovation and scaling assurance activities across Technology.

You will leverage advanced approaches such as AI and data analytics, collaborate with other functions, and develop creative and effective assurance solutions. This role challenges conventional assurance methods, requiring strategic thinking and delivery of an efficient, impactful Technology Assurance plan.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to influence decisions, address control issues, and drive remediation efforts. Partnering with subject matter experts across the organization, you will scale assurance activities and embed control improvements within the broader technology landscape.

What are the key responsibilities?
  • Lead a team of assurance professionals in driving innovation and scaling assurance activities.
  • Leverage advanced approaches such as AI and data analytics to develop creative and effective assurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with other functions to drive remediation efforts and address control issues.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver an efficient, impactful Technology Assurance plan.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and align on complex control issues. You will be working at the heart of Macquarie's Technology Division, collaborating with risk professionals and senior stakeholders to drive innovation and improve the efficiency of our Technology Assurance processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Deep expertise in technology risk, control frameworks, and assurance methodologies.
  • Proven experience leading assurance, audit, or risk management teams within a Technology environment.
  • Success in innovating assurance approaches, leveraging tools like AI and data analytics.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align on complex control issues.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and develop a global team while delivering high-quality outcomes.
