Job Title: Chief Quality Assurance Officer

About the Role

The Chief Quality Assurance Officer will oversee all aspects of site quality assurance, leading the QA team and ensuring full compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in managing audits, driving continuous improvement, and supporting product integrity from raw materials through to finished goods.

  • Lead and develop the site QA team to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification standards (HACCP, BRC, SQF, etc.)
  • Maintain and improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Manage internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness at all times
  • Investigate non-conformances, oversee root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
  • Liaise with production, technical, and customer teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations

About You

This role requires a degree qualified individual in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline, with extensive QA leadership experience in a high-care manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of quality systems, food safety legislation, and customer standards, as well as demonstrated success managing audits and maintaining third-party certifications.
