Mental Health Clinician Role

At our organization, we prioritize the wellbeing of older adults in residential aged care by providing compassionate support services. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to deliver high-quality counselling and therapeutic support.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Reduce psychological distress among aged care residents through trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based care.
  • Deliver one-on-one and group counselling across multiple sites to meet client needs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and meet service performance indicators (12 individual sessions and up to 5 group sessions per week – pro rata).
  • Build strong relationships with facility staff, carers, and other support providers.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Counselling, Psychology).
  • Have experience delivering counselling or mental health support in aged care, community, or health settings.
  • Possess strong therapeutic skills in modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, or brief therapy.
  • Employ a collaborative approach to care coordination and stakeholder engagement.
