Aviation Armament Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Professional to support our fixed wing strike fighter aircraft as an Aviation Armament Specialist.

This role will be based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland and will support the Super Hornet and Growler Program for the Royal Australian Air Force.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components, and equipment within their trade, qualifications, training, competency, and Approved Maintenance Organisation authorisation.
  • Conduct preparation, handling, loading, and maintenance of aircraft weapon systems, including gun systems, bombs, and countermeasures.
  • Undertake certification of assigned tasks by performing various AMO aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Authorised Maintenance Data.
Accountabilities:
  • Report to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with teams involved in maintenance operations at Amberley.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Essential Experience/Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Armament).
  • Sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance procedures and DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework.
  • Australian Citizen.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or ability to obtain.
