Job Opportunity: Infrastructure Asset Manager

A leading local government is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and asset management outcomes for the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, project management, and ensuring effective application of engineering excellence in project delivery.
This role involves managing multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and strategies, and overseeing the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, and extensive experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.

About the Role
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Act as the asset owner for multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant asset management policies, strategies, and plans.
  • Oversee complex civil infrastructure designs and provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community.
  • Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.
  • Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.


Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
  • Extensive experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
