About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring maximum value is obtained from the ports assets. You will be responsible for undertaking and managing electrical engineering for the development and design of new HV/LV assets, as well as maintaining existing HV/LV assets.

Key aspects of this role include:

  1. Ensuring all Fremantle Ports' electrical assets are designed, constructed, and maintained in compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and codes of practice.
  2. Reviewing and evaluating the results of condition inspections to ensure adequacy (fit for purpose) and safety for their intended use.
  3. Preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and work schedules, specifications, and the technical component of tender documents.
  4. Managing engineering consultants engaged for studies, designs, and investigations of electrical asset projects.
  5. Managing projects and assets through full lifecycle.
  6. Supporting and collaborating with maintenance teams to provide technical expertise for the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  1. A degree in electrical engineering, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the design and asset management of electrical assets.
  2. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  3. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to drive best practice solutions.
