Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

This dynamic role involves delivering impactful therapy to individuals with diverse needs as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting their skills to support clients in achieving their goals and maximizing their funding opportunities.

About the Job
  • Work in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centers
  • Utilize assessment and intervention techniques to develop personalized support plans and drive positive outcomes for clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients and their support networks (family, carers, friends)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioral challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Conduct thorough Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to inform support planning
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Rlevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration such as Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker or Mental Health Nurse
  • Minimum 24 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and flexible approach to work
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
