Speech Therapist

The position of Speech Therapist plays a vital role in our healthcare setting, where individuals with communication and swallowing disorders receive expert care.

  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for adult patients experiencing communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues from various departments, fostering a cohesive and supportive work environment.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and mentoring programs to enhance professional development and career growth.
Key Qualifications and Competencies
  • Meet Schedule C qualifications and be eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrate core competency skills in managing patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage effectively with patients/clients.
  • Show proficiency in working as part of a multidisciplinary team and exercising independent professional judgment.
  • Be proficient in computer systems and able to utilize health information systems efficiently.
  • Embody a commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  • Hold a current Class C NSW Drivers Licence.
