Expert Retrofit Professional
This role requires an individual with strong knowledge of sales, tendering, and mechanical or hydraulic engineering principles.
The successful candidate will support the business in developing regional strategy plans, sales plans, and continuous improvement projects. They will act as a main point of contact and technical consultant to the sales team or end-users/customers for all retrofit enquiries and related activities in their nominated region.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement regional strategy plans, sales plans, and continuous improvement projects to drive growth and profitability.
- Act as a technical consultant to the sales team and end-users/customers, providing expertise on retrofit opportunities and solutions.
- Drive local Regional Sales teams to work in-line with strategic plans, identifying opportunities and driving them through to order award.
- Support the Rolling Forecast process for nominated sales territories, collaborating with regional sales and service managers/directors.
- Achieve and exceed local and regional OI targets for Retrofit projects.
- Responsible for driving initiatives within nominated sales territories to promote identification of retrofit opportunities.
- Ensure effective client contact, relationship building, and management processes are in place to positively influence clients and create a predisposition to view Sulzer as the preferred source of supply.
- Complete competitor reviews on Retrofit strengths yearly to support sales identification and drive to sales strategies.
- Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, technologies, and leading customer strategies.
- Produce and review proposals, and support the overall proposal process.
- Ensure handover meetings and documentation are effective, resulting in a smooth transition from pre- to post-order status.
- 7+ years of work experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in Sales/Tendering/Applications/Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management (highly desirable).
- Fluent in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, supervisory experience, negotiation, and influence, SAP, PC proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
- Industry and supplier network, understanding of competitive offerings, knowledge, and understanding of cultures within the region.
