Policy and Executive Support Officer

This is a challenging role that requires effective output management and coordination skills. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team.

The role involves coordinating the timely preparation and provision of high-quality briefings and reports for senior executives regarding allied health professional policy, workforce, legislative, regulatory, and clinical governance issues.

  • Provide project support to the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team through the administration and coordination of several concurrent project activities associated with planning, monitoring, research, collation of information and preparation of reports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide executive support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Deputy Chief Allied Health Advisor
  • General administrative support to the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team including secretariat support for committees

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience providing policy and executive support in a demanding environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles
  • Sound written and oral communication skills
  • Capacity to provide secretarial and administrative support
  • Critical thinking, research and analytical skills
  • Experience using various IT systems and software and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
