Policy Support Specialist

The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled professional to join their team in Allied Health Strategy and Policy. As an integral member of the team, you will play a key role in coordinating high-quality briefings and reports for senior executives.

This is a permanent full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight. You will have the opportunity to work with a small, high-performing team that provides high-level policy advice and leads strategic allied health workforce projects.

  • Briefing and Report Coordination: Coordinate the timely preparation and provision of high-quality briefings and reports for senior executives.
  • Project Support: Provide project support to the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team through the administration and coordination of several concurrent project activities.
  • Executive Support: Provide executive support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Deputy Chief Allied Health Advisor, as well as general administrative support to the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the department's policy advice and implementation.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of policies and programs that impact the lives of Australians.
