Portfolio Management Expert Sought

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management Specialist to drive strategic portfolio performance in our dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will leverage data storytelling and analytics to deliver impactful initiatives, focusing on portfolio analysis, proposal development, and stakeholder collaboration.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyse portfolio performance using internal and external data sources, including Tableau dashboards and industry reports.
  • Develop clear proposals for portfolio improvements, incorporating tactical and strategic pricing changes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align initiatives with business strategy, ensuring effective engagement with Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Finance, and Actuarial teams.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to enhance platform performance and broker connectivity.
  • Deliver and monitor initiatives that drive profitability, ensuring benefits are realised and sustained.
  • Create compelling data stories to communicate complex analytics to non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain awareness of claim trends and risk profiles to inform portfolio decisions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in General Insurance, preferably with an actuarial and/or analytics background.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, or Actuarial Science (desirable).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, COGNOS, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling capabilities.
  • Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Curiosity and a mindset for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI technologies in insurance.
