About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Strategist to join our team at Resourceful Recruitment. As a key member of our Water & Energy Transmission division, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of energy delivery by maintaining and optimizing critical substation assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement renewal and maintenance strategies for critical substation assets, managing annual maintenance programs ranging from $10M to $20M and renewal programs of $40M to $50M.
  • Oversee substation assets across major energy projects, including HumeLink, Project Energy Connect (PEC), and Snowy Hydro 2.0.
  • Continuously monitor asset performance, providing strategic insights for optimization.
  • Drive innovation by introducing cutting-edge technologies and practices to enhance asset management.
  • Lead cross-team collaboration, working with maintenance, design, and project management teams to ensure successful strategy implementation.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for performance improvement and cost-saving measures, ensuring efficient asset management throughout the asset lifecycle.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with substantial experience in asset lifecycle management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of substation assets such as transformers and switchgear within high-voltage (HV) environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and improve asset performance and implement risk-based strategies.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, business case development, and strategy execution.
