
Executive Claims Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Claims Management Team Leader to join our team. This pivotal leadership role will see you guiding and supporting a high-performing group of Claims Management Assessors as they deliver large-scale claims review programs that make a real impact.
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our claims management programs through effective leadership, quality assurance, coaching and workflow management. You will also support onboarding and drive performance outcomes in alignment with project goals and client expectations.
This is a contract position with the potential for extension. The role is located in Geelong.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, coach and motivate a team of Claims Management Assessors to meet and exceed performance and quality targets
- Provide technical support in the management of personal injury claims, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and best-practice claims strategies
- Manage workflow and claims allocation to ensure efficient and effective outcomes
- Provide ongoing feedback, mentoring, and support to team members to encourage continuous improvement and professional growth
- Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with client guidelines and relevant frameworks
- Serve as a key escalation point for complex or sensitive claims matters, customer complaints, and client enquiries and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder communication
- Proven experience in team leadership or supervisory roles within a personal injury claims environment (i.e. Life and group insurance, workers compensation or transport accident schemes)
- Strong understanding of claims management principles, ideally with claims management experience in workers compensation
- Demonstrated ability to manage performance, drive KPIs and support staff development
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with a solution-focused approach to decision-making
- Ability to foster a collaborative and positive team culture in fast-paced environments
