About the Project

The Devonport East Berth E3 Redevelopment is a major construction project in Tasmania.

The project aims to accommodate two new vessels from Finland, replacing the iconic red and white ships known as the Spirit of Tasmania I & II.

About the Role

BMD Constructions is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its high-calibre team, working with senior members of the project team to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes.

As Project Engineer, you will:

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, mentoring Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design, and contractual requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferably 4+ years' experience on infrastructure projects
  • Passionate about excellent health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes
  • Motivation to achieve value-for-money results
  • Previous experience with major tier one or two contractors undertaking similar work
