At AGL Energy, we're embarking on an ambitious strategy to transition our energy portfolio and develop new products and services. As a Group Insurance Manager, you'll play a critical role in defining insurance strategies that support this major transformation.

The Group Insurance Manager is responsible for designing and managing all elements of AGL's insurance program. You'll work closely with AGL's Board, insurance brokers, and insurers to ensure insurance strategies remain fit for purpose as we navigate this significant change. Additionally, you'll collaborate with various AGL teams to ensure insurance requirements are properly considered in contracting and mergers and acquisitions activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with business areas to consider AGL's risk management strategies and their ongoing impact on the insurance program
  • Draft papers for senior management and AGL's Audit & Risk Management Committee outlining options and recommendations for AGL's insurance strategy
  • Develop and execute a renewal strategy for AGL's various insurance policies to achieve an optimal balance of insurance coverage and cost
  • Provide advice to business stakeholders on insurance requirements for new business activity/new vendors, including insurance requirements, indemnities, and other risk-related issues

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering bespoke insurance programs for large organisations
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex insurance-related projects
  • Experience working with and presenting to all levels of an organisation, including up to Executive level
  • Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written), and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to deliver, drive positive outcomes, and bring about change within a large, diverse organisation
