About the Role

We seek an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. This role offers a comprehensive employment package with Monday to Friday operational hours and an exceptional wages package. The successful candidate will be based in Darwin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance
    • Review job-specific documentation, including reports and certificates, to ensure compliance.
    • Understand the concept of QA and perform in all aspects of Quality Assurance.
  • Operational Management
    • Direct and manage the performance of the operations team to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
    • Liaise with Agents and Vessels' Chief Officer to coordinate tasks consistent with discharge and load plans.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Complete and process all required documents, including damage, discharge, and load plans.
    • Communicate and liaise with vessel Chief Officers and client representatives to achieve performance objectives according to the vessel plan.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with employment terms (EA's), OH&S, and Environmental legislation, as well as company policy.
    • Identify and submit hazard and near miss reports, conduct safety observations, and recommend corrective action to the Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in job reviews.
  • Strong communications skills and high attention to detail.
  • Understanding and knowledge of ISO 9001 standard requirements.
  • Energetic, effective, and positive work style to fit a dynamic team, dealing with high work volume and tight deadlines.
  • Conversant with Microsoft applications.
  • Capable of learning a variety of supply chain, planning, and scheduling software.
  • Experience working with contract management and past delivery through suppliers.
  • Experience in Oil and Gas Operations is preferred, but not required.
