Senior Coastal Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal Engineer to join our Ports & Maritime team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to work on various coastal and maritime engineering projects, collaborating with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

  • Design and analysis of coastal and maritime infrastructure, including ports, harbors, and marinas
  • Management of project deliverables, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction
  • Preparation of proposals, fee estimates, and programs for consulting projects
  • Liaising with clients, potential and current, for service delivery, networking, and business development
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and supervision for junior engineers

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil, Structural or Maritime Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years' commercial experience in a similar role. Established knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures, and port engineering are essential.

Able to undertake some travel (domestic or international), the successful candidate will be rewarded with a dynamic and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation, creativity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scoping and managing the production of metocean studies
  • Marina and small craft facility design
  • Planning and design of small-scale up to large-scale coastal and maritime infrastructure
  • Manage the successful delivery of various coastal and maritime engineering projects
  • Preparation of proposals, fee estimates and programs for consulting projects
  • Liaises with clients, potential and current, for the purposes of service delivery, networking, and business development
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and supervision for junior engineers
Suitable Applicants Will Demonstrate:
  • Degree qualified in Civil, Structural or Maritime Engineering
  • A min of 6+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
  • Established knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures and port engineering
  • Experience managing project deliverables from start to finish
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and superior report-writing competencies
