Job Overview

The Senior Coastal Engineer will deliver a range of coastal and maritime engineering services to various clients, including government agencies, port authorities, and private companies.

This role involves managing projects from start to finish, with responsibilities including scoping and producing metocean studies, designing marinas and small craft facilities, and planning coastal and maritime infrastructure for ports, resources, water infrastructure, aquaculture, and renewable energy sectors.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working on similar projects in the past.

  • Scoping and managing the production of metocean studies
  • Marina and small craft facility design
  • Planning and design of coastal and maritime infrastructure
  • Managing project deliverables from start to finish

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, or Maritime Engineering (or Similar)
  • A minimum of 6+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
  • Established knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures, and port engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and superior report-writing competencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaises with clients, potential and current, for the purposes of service delivery, networking, and business development.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and supervision for junior engineers.

Travel Requirements:

  • Some intra and interstate travel as required.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered or actively working towards chartership and applicable Registration.

Additional Skills:

  • Able to undertake some travel (domestic or international).
