Coastal Structures Engineer Opportunity

The City is seeking a highly skilled Coastal Structures Engineer to join the Beaches team in the Asset Planning and Management business unit. As a key member of this high-performing team, you will be responsible for coastal engineering services and project management related to initiating, coordinating, and delivering complex coastal infrastructure engineering programs.

About the Role
  • Develop programmes required for coastal zone development including boardwalks, piled structures, seawalls, artificial reefs etc.
  • Ensure coastal resilience outcomes are met, coastal risk to assets and services is mitigated, and beach amenity targets are maintained.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil/Coastal/Environmental Engineering or equivalent knowledge.
  • WHS Licence General Construction (White Card).
  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status or commitment to achieve RPEQ.
  • Demonstrated significant experience designing, managing, and constructing complex coastal engineering programmes of work.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills ensuring consistency and clarity of advice.
