About the Role

Cumberland Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Health Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Health Team, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and improve health and safety outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on health and safety matters.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental health or a related field.
  • Proven experience in health and safety management, with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Class C driver's license.
