About the Role
We are seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our Home Care Team, providing personalised 1:1 Home Care support to consumers accessing our Aged Care Home Care services.
As a Personal Support Worker, you will support clients' reablement and improved quality of life, performing tasks such as domestic assistance, assisting in achievement of goals, and assisting with personal care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing domestic assistance, including meal preparation and light cleaning
- Assisting clients in achieving their goals and building their capacity
- Assisting with personal care needs, such as showering, dressing, toileting, eating/drinking
- Transporting clients to and from outings, such as shopping or social activities
- Transporting clients to medical appointments
- Implementing tasks and routines outlined by an approved medical professional
- Maintaining and monitoring clients' health and behaviour changes
- Building rapport and collaborating effectively to establish positive relationships
- Providing in-home respite services
About You
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with great communication skills, able to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or Community) is highly desirable, along with a current First Aid Certificate, CPR Certification, and a National NDIS Worker Screening Check.
We Offer
- Permanent part-time or casual contracts, depending on your location and availability
- Minimum hourly rate of $33.41 ($41.76 Casual) plus Super (SCHADS Level 2.1 or higher, depending on qualification held)
- Travel allowance of $0.99c per kilometre
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per FBT year, prorated
- Meal entertainment and venue hire annual cap of $2,650 per annum, prorated
