In this full time, permanent role based in the Moreton Bay region, you’ll work within a team to provide case management and safety planning support to women and children who are escaping or experiencing domestic violence, within the refuge accommodation program and outreach role. The role attracts some mínimal rostered on-call responsibilities, and report to the Team Leader.
- You will make a difference by: _
- Facilitating the provision of safe accommodation to women and children escaping domestic and family violence
- Conducting thorough risk and needs assessments, within a trauma informed case management framework
- Working with families to source appropriate, safe and sustainable accommodation free from violence and/or connecting families with services to meet their needs

- Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence, including the impact on children
- Demonstrated experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Current drivers’ licence
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience in a similar service
- It is a genuine requirement of this position that it be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1991._
