Job Description

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Senior Lecturer. This is a part-time opportunity, with a fixed term contract to 31/12/2026. The role involves teaching and mentoring students in the field of Aboriginal Health.

The successful applicant will have advanced qualifications and/or significant experience in the relevant discipline area. They will also possess knowledge of contemporary Aboriginal Health Curriculum and be familiar with Aboriginal people, culture, history, and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a record of high-quality achievement in teaching while contributing more broadly to curriculum innovation
  • Contribute to strategic committees within the discipline/school/division and University
  • Make significant and sustained contributions to the scholarship of teaching and learning and/or professional practice in the discipline at the divisional, University and national level
  • Succeed in winning significant internal and external grants to support teaching projects and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Advanced qualifications and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area
  • Health professional in possession of a Ph D or a Masters degree with 5 years teaching experience, or a Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body or significant progress towards
  • Experience in teaching at Masters level or higher or in medical, health or professional practice based education settings
