About the Role


We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract. The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Compliance in developing, implementing, and maintaining our compliance framework, including the AML Framework in Australia and New Zealand.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Assisting with the ongoing implementation, management, reporting, and continuous improvement of the Financial Crime framework (including AML, Sanctions, Fraud, and Countering the Financing of Terrorism),
  • Reviewing, analysing, and interpreting existing and new laws, regulations, rules, standards, industry codes relating to Financial Crime as they apply to our business activities and providing updates, training, and communications to internal stakeholders,
  • Maintaining compliance registers (including obligations registers), policies, and documents specifically those related to Financial Crime,
  • Reviewing and submitting suspicious matter reports within regulatory timeframes,
  • Developing and rolling out Financial Crimes training to business units as required,
  • Providing compliance advice to the business, including in relation to Financial Crime-related matters, and
  • Team management, training, and development of 2 Compliance Officers.

About You


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Strong regulatory compliance experience gained within a banking/financial services industry or consumer lending.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining an Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism of Financing framework.
  • People leadership experience
  • Proven technical skills and knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to influence peers and senior management.
  • Teamwork focus with excellence in driving results and delivering desired outcomes within required timelines.
