Job Opportunity: Associate to the Honourable Justice Hannon
About the RoleWe are seeking a legally qualified individual to work alongside the Honourable Justice Hannon, assisting with judicial tasks and contributing to the administration of justice.
Key Responsibilities:- Judgment Preparation: Assisting with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing
- Clerking in court
- Reviewing files and orders
- Administrative Support: Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge in court
- Preparing research memoranda
- Liaising with court staff, the public, the media, and the profession
The successful applicant will have strong writing and research skills and an eye for detail. They will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
The Honourable Justice Hannon has a background in commercial law, public and administrative law, environment and planning law, and alternative dispute resolution. She sits in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the law and wants to contribute to the administration of justice. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Honourable Justice Hannon and will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills.
