Job Opportunity:

About this Position:

  • We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to assist Justice Hannon in her chambers and support her work in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Justice Hannon requires a strong team member who will contribute to the establishment of her chambers and provide administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with judgment production, including proofreading and editing
  • Clerking in court
  • Reviewing files and orders
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge in court
  • Preparing research memoranda
  • Liaising with court staff, the public, the media and the legal profession
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills, including telephone, in-person and written communication
  • Strong proofreading and writing skills, with proficiency in grammar and an excellent academic record
  • Must be qualified in Law, with 1-2 years post-admission experience desirable but not essential
