Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on school infrastructure while adhering to WHS standards.
  • Support logistics for school events such as assemblies, performances, and major functions.
  • Manage the delivery and distribution of mail, parcels, documents, and messages across the school with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate and maintain security systems, including managing alarms and locking/unlocking facilities during core hours.
  • Communicate effectively with the Principal, Business Manager, and delegated staff regarding maintenance schedules, urgent repairs, and facility priorities.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve maintenance issues across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general school infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely and effective repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist with groundskeeping tasks, clearing drains, collecting waste, hosing gutters, and supporting event setups, fetes, plays, and sporting events.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, safe use of chemicals and equipment, maintenance, and hazard reporting.
  • Support additional security tasks, banking school funds, and maintaining safety protocols and school grounds.
