Duties

  • Possess the culinary expertise to prepare main dishes for lunch and dinner menus.
  • Oversee food preparation, including washing, cooking, and storing processes.
  • Implement robust infection control principles and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records through timely and correct paperwork completion.
  • IDentify training needs and requirements of Catering Staff to drive professional growth.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent is essential.
  • Relevant experience in aged care, hospitality, or restaurant management is preferred.
  • Effective time management, organisational skills, and budget management are required to drive efficiency.
  • Previous experience in leading a team and managing resources is desirable.
  • A solid understanding of food audits and safety protocols is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach are vital for success.
