About Us

The role is part of our national facilities management team responsible for the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across our stores.

The successful candidate will have trade qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration, with strong post-apprenticeship experience in the retail refrigeration service and installation industry. They will also have solid skills in control theory, diagnostics and troubleshooting, as well as an ability to work in a team and autonomously.

Key responsibilities include reviewing jobs as they arise, supporting technicians in the field with troubleshooting and root cause analysis, monitoring store controllers to ensure set points are maintained and systems are operating at an optimum level, and generating system reports.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and work flexibly as part of a high-performing agile team.

Job Description:

  • Support Store Operations and Refrigeration & HVAC technicians with troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and works.
  • Gain a broad understanding and view of our Facilities Maintenance processes.
  • Drive change to how we do things.
  • Assist in managing inbound service requests and queries along with offering technical trade expertise on the ground as required on a rostered basis.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
  • Strong post apprenticeship experience within the retail refrigeration service and installation industry.
  • Solid skills in control theory, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • An ability to work in a team and autonomously.
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours on a rostered system, travel as required.
