Job Role: Learning Enhancement Teacher
The role of the Learning Enhancement Teacher is multifaceted, playing a vital part in ensuring all students have equal access and engagement with their learning. By identifying and addressing barriers to learning, this teacher works collaboratively with students, teachers, and families to develop individualized programs that cater to diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Customised Programs: The Learning Enhancement Teacher develops and delivers tailored programs that address the unique requirements of each student.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: This role involves working closely with classroom teachers to provide in-class support for student learning and developing strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Individualised Learning Plans: The Learning Enhancement Teacher creates, implements, and regularly reviews Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Personalised Learning plans in collaboration with classroom teachers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting Implementation: This role involves assisting classroom teachers in developing strategies to implement Student Management Plans, thereby contributing to improved student outcomes.
- A deep understanding of child development and behavior.
- Relevant teaching experience or experience working with children.
- An appreciation of Learning Disabilities and program modification.
- Strong professional practice aligned with established educational standards.
- Ability to multitask, be flexible, and manage changing priorities effectively.
- Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Education and Qualifications:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Education.
- Qualifications in Inclusive Education or related areas and/or relevant experience working in these areas in schools.
