Procurement Specialist

The Frontline and Digital Division requires a procurement specialist to deliver critical services to various government agencies. The role involves providing vital assistance to frontline officers and the broader community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a category-based team of procurement professionals, ensuring efficient and effective services are provided.
  • Coordinate and manage significant procurement projects with key stakeholders, focusing on delivering outcomes that meet business requirements.
  • Administer complex contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers, ensuring compliance with contract management practices and contemporary acquisition methods.
  • Provide specialist procurement advice on procurement matters, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients, vendors, and staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and cooperation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of Queensland Government Level 4 Procurement Certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience in SAP is required for this role, with a focus on implementing effective procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework is essential for success in this position.
